congratulations I wish you had some Tim Tams to celebrate God Bless Lesley
Just a suggestion it will get you some water cover bowls with plastic and leave on deck you might get some condensation this is a way of getting water when lost in Australia you wont get a gallon but you will get some and in the desert it has saved lives or in your case it might save you an hour on the pump a day Lesley ps after reading this I realise it may not make sense you cover the receptacle closely so no salt water gets in
Hi Sarah, Fantastic news on the progress glad to see you’re making progress again towards your goal. good also that you were also able to have a rest yesterday and catch up on the zzzzzzz,s. Always useful. We’ll say a little prayer for the water pump and fingers crossed.
love Heather and Cameron x
Here’s sending you positive thoughts and much crossing of fingers…….
Oh I so hope you can mend that water maker! And here’s to crossing the 165 the E parallel and heading in the right direction!
According to the Polynesians, you are floating in one spot, and the Earth is turning Canada closer to you.
Will it negate any records or accomplishments if a new watermaker was air-dropped to you?
Thats not good news about the watermaker. If it cant be fixed then as Ray sugests, dropping one from the air is the answer. I will say a prayer and ask for the watermaker to repair itself. It will be very tiring pumping every day. Good news on your progress. Keep the westerly winds going. Until the next time.God Bless. Peter from Nottingham.
Will be praying really hard about the water maker problem….
Dear Sarah, Dugald and I had a failed watermaker mid Atlantic. I took it apart and bebuilt it then tested on it’s side before re installing in said locker! It only worked in the lateral position therafter so I re mounted it in the new working position hence allowing us to continue with Brunetto! Worth a try? Cheers, Dave Mitchell from Perth, OZ. Ps at that stage we were down to our last 40 litres so things a bit tight with no land in sight. Chin up!
