Oh dear Sarah –
I am sure I am not the only one thinking how we would really like you to be rowing and not stuck in that cabin but we know this is what the ocean is all about … it’s great to hear you are keeping busy mentally and that you can reflect on 2009 which was inspiring and the experience of that very powerful to you in this row now!!
So great though that you can speak through the podcasts which I don’t think you did so much then – and we can get to hear your feelings daily and clearly through your voice which is the best.
Take care and may those waves be kind to you and Happy Socks today.

“Mind tinkering” a very popular sport at sea I hear…think perhaps you will be able to add Cabin Fever Endurance to the already impressive Outen Challenge. xxx Susie
Fare forward, Sarah. We are willing you fortitude and safe progress. Also ”
The self -sufficing power of solitude”Ib.bk. ii,1,77
Just made it to L A. Here 2 hours and Cindy had a little girl. 8lbs 6ozs Zephyrin. On the scary scale Cindy votes where you are tops having a baby.
(I vote driving on LA Freeway a close third.)
Ocean sailing off Perth WA 4th (too seasick to want to live)
William Blake Nurse’s Song
” Well, well, go and play till the light fades away,
and then home to bed.”
The little ones leaped and shouted and laughed;
And all the waves ( hills) echo-ed.
Nature must salute your towering courage. We do. xx Sue and Cindy
Find a way to enjoy the ride. You are a very brave soul to endure six months solo at sea! Like John Lennon said we all are playing those mind games to get us through, Godspeed Sarah.

Don’t wait for fear to go away. It won’t.
Just tell it, in no uncertain terms, that it can only have a small piece of you.
Make the wonder of your adventure….fill up the rest.
Love and courage, Sarah.
