After 109 days, disabled sailor and lovely chap, Geoff Holt, sailed into the Royal Southern Yacht Club last week on September 5th, to become the first disabled sailor to circumnavigate GB. I was lucky enough to crew with Geoff’s team for 6 weeks this summer, doing the Northern reaches of Wales and the West and East coasts of Scotland. Had exams not got in the way in June and a job at this end of the season, I would have done the whole round trip. It was a brilliant experience to see parts of Britain I have never visited, and retrace my travels round others.
