Sarah has made great progress in the last 24 hours and has covered 30 miles thanks to the Kuroshio current. Seasickness has been pretty bad but is now easing so all is well.
Glad to see that you got away safely. I guess the advantage of rowing facing aft is that any Technicolor Yawn will only add to boat speed ! I expect you still have the cartoon I sent you soon after leaving on your Indian dip in the ocean. We both know that once you have broken through that unpleasant barrier, you can surmount anything. I envy you the Dawn and Dusk light shows. Go girl.
little bits of fresh water and white bread will help ease the sea sickness…following along your journey here in florida, usa…aboard my sailboat…be strong ! … captsurfdawg out for now…
Fabulous miles covered, Sarah and Happy Socks!! Here’s hoping the seasickness is banished quickly and your sealegs firmly in place! You and Happy Socks take good care of each other now!

Great start, hope the Kuroshio current keeps going in your favour. Hope the seasickness improves too. I am sure you will soon meet up with your friends the tweedles and others.
Take great care and forward you go.

May the mother nature enable you to make your dream true. Amen.
Fair wind and following seas-;) great progress. Best cure for seasickness is chocolate. Not sure if scientifically proven but it don’t do any harm and make you fell better.
Fantastic start. Sorry to hear about the seasickness. You have all my sympathy – not a pleasant thing. My mother used to suffer from it too. She actually had to leave the cinema part way through the film about the Kon-Tiki expedition she felt so queasy – she definitely wouldn’t have made an ocean-going rower, although she was a keen river rower! I hope the winds keep in your favour in the days to come.
We are so excited for you that you and Happy Socks have been able to get off to a great start. Though nausea can’t be beaten on top worst feelings. Can’t wait to hear all about the sealife out there to push you along.
Love from all the Munchy Team!
Wow!!! Fantastic progress. Tokyo is very fine day, today. Hope you have a great nice weather.
Go, Sarah!!! Enjoy rowing!!! Have a super great day!!!
I did my hour on the Concept 2 for solidarity … just makes me more amazed on what you are doing !
Hoping your bum and blisters are not hurting too much …
Wonderful news and Sarah you are in esteemed company with your sickness
as you will know the glorious Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson suffered terribly
but then I suppose he didn’t have to do many turns at the sweeps.
Nothing worse than sea sickness. I used to have it bad in the Navy and it took me about 4 days every time we sailed, to get my legs back, so you should be feeling a lot better soon.
So pleased to hear you are off again – very best of good luck and favourable winds etc – love Averil
We think what you are doing is amazing! We are following your journey from Homefield Primary School, Bradwell, Norfolk. We are glad you have made such a great start.

Good news about the current – lets hope that the weather systems keep in your favour so you can take advantage of it.
Hope that the sea-sickness settles soon : as mentioned above many RN sailors used to be out for the count for the first few days at sea – so you are in good company.
Very pleased to hear you are off again. I last saw you in Kazakhstan, and have been following you on and off since. Wish I was on the road again but not right now…work calls. Big Good Luck.
