Following on from last week’s reporting of scupper production, I can finally upload a picture of the beauty in her current state – ready for the painting to commence. Lots of people have been surprised at just how big she is – don’t laugh! – and I am pleased to report that indeed she is spacious, luxurious, en-suite and so on. Well, the latter goes without saying (bucket on deck) and the ‘aft’ cabin (the one where I will sleep and which I am sitting on in the picture) does indeed seem very spacey inside – the idea being that should she decide to swim, we will just roll straight back up. It’s all about buoyancy at sea, you see. Haha. Happy days indeed down with Jamie and Emily in Exmouth. Should you be looking for an ocean rowboat or other dinky vessel then I can only recommend them with 110% satisfaction – they are an incredible team on all fronts: Global Boatworks All things being equal, I should be able to pick her up when I get back from sailing the high seas (Iceland to Plymouth, departing Saturday and returning September 8th), from when we can start our sea trialling.
