LOOK WHAT HAPPENED!

So we only went and won another award….

“Home’’ scooped the Exploration & Adventure category at the prestigious Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival on November 3rd (incidentally neatly marking 4 years to the day that Sarah landed back under Tower Bridge at the end of her London2London journey).

Director Jen flew over the Rockies from her home in B.C to pick up the beautiful, striking award in person, while Sarah celebrated with some fruity gin at home in Oxfordshire.

Here’s what the judges had to say:

“This is a compelling film tracking the journey of an ordinary woman, on an extra-ordinary adventure. It takes you on an emotional and physically demanding roller-coaster ride around the globe, highlighting the warmth and generosity of our fellow human beings. The film is challenging, engaging, enthralling, and inspiring. However – the central question is……where is HOME? Such a simple title, for such a complex film.”

— Lynn Robinson, jury member

Suffice to say we are delighted to have won another award. Sarah is busy zipping up and down the UK presenting the film while it concurrently runs itself up and down the lands, too – we have about 40 cinemas screening or set to screen over coming weeks. For an indy film, we’re pretty proud of that. Our ‘film pimp’ Jonny is working hard on getting it as far and wide as we can.

For more info on where you can watch ‘Home’ in coming weeks check out the screenings page here.

And if you’d like to get your own albatross and squiggle merch, we have more adventure mugs (£12 plus P&P) just in and more tees (£15/18 plus P&P) on the way.  You can order via email hello@sarahouten.com or the shop here
