Sarah rang the London2London Team around midnight 8th June from the rescue boat Zao. She is well but exhausted.
We are expecting Sarah to land in Japan around 0900hrs JST (0100hrs BST) tomorrow 10th June. Sarah will be staying with friends and will be taking time to recover before making any decisions regarding the next steps of her journey.
As expected, due to adverse sea conditions it was not possible to tow Gulliver back to land. The Team are currently looking at options regarding Gulliver.
The following link shows photos of Sarah’s rescue taken by the Coastguard:
As ever thank you for your ongoing support, this means a great deal to Sarah, the Team and her family.
All the best
The London2London Team
Glad to hear that she’ll be on dry land soon enough. Rest well Sarah!
With regard to Gulliver, I wonder what steps have been taken to ensure he’ll stay afloat. Kinda hard to assess the damage without the boat. Poor thing, out there on his own. Hope a boat builder will give it some TLC soon.
We are just so glad you are safe and well Sarah. Keep your spirits up xxxx.
Glad to hear you are safe and well. I look forward to the next chapter of your adventure. Hopefully slightly less dramatic than this one!
Thinking of poor Gilliver xx
… Gulliver, even!
So glad to hear you’re okay Sarah! I’m sorry that Gulliver had to be left behind, but the main thing is that you’re safe and well! xxx
Your safe! That’s what matters. Time to reflect and heal up Nothing to prove. All is well x
Glad to hear Sarah is safe. If these things were easy we would have all done it. X
Now that Sarah is safe, we can all breath and smile. I do hope that it will be possible to collect Gulliver as well.
breathe. Pity I couldn’t spell!
Glad you are safe Sarah, get back to dry land and have a well earned rest : I hope your requested food is awaiting you on your arrival ! – I also hope that they rescue your boat as well.
The children of Future Hope send you their best wishes – they enjoy reading your blogs and loved the book you sent them.
Thinking of you as I embark on the second stage of my mountain challenge on Monday – Thanks for your support
So glad you are ok. Sarah, you are a true inspiration.
Hi SDarah
Good to hear you will be staying with friends and I am sure so many folks will be giving you some TLC like we would if you were here. Class this as a trial like you did on Dippers when you set out before.
It is good to see the pictures of the wonderful team that came to your help.
Take great care and hope you will be feeling better soon.
With love to you and of coiurse your Mum and brothers.

Hi,Sarah
Are you OK now ?? You & Gulliver had been turned up & down 30 times made you very exhausted, of course.
I could not participate in your welcoming back “Team Choshi” for my nephew’s wedding, in order to meet with the rescue boat Zao & you at the Shiogama JCG base.
Take your enough time for your recovery in strength both physicaliy & mentally.
Just so glad you are safe!
Rest well for now.
Glad to hear you’re back safe in Japan. Very scary times I’m sure. My students will be very curious to hear the story too… Keep your spirits up! You’ve inspired all of us!
Remember now matter how badly it stings a boat can always be replaced, you cannot! Live to fight another day is how I believe the saying goes. Just chalk this up to experience and know that if you can make it through something like that, there’s not much else in this world that can slow you down! Congratulations on making it back safely, that’s the most important thing!
I hope you find gulliver soon and hope you feel wll to love zach xxx
To sarah I was very worred but Iam so glad you are ok.
